MARBELLA is about to come alive with one of its biggest parties of the year – Feria de San Bernabé – from June 9 to 15, 2025, honouring the city’s patron saint with over 50 activities for all ages.
Presented by Mayor Ángeles Muñoz, the programme of events promises a mix of tradition, music, and festivity. The week culminates with a concert by El Arrebato on June 15 at Avenida Ramón y Cajal, a musical finale to a celebration filled with joy and Andalusian culture.
The festivities kick off on May 30 with a pre-fair gala at 8pm in Parque de la Constitución, featuring performances by local dance academies. On June 1, the traditional Romería de San Bernabé at Pinar de Nagüeles offers churros with chocolate, a mass at the saint’s hermitage, a paella feast, and live music by Dúo Arenal. Miguel Vida Palomo’s plaque will be unveiled, and a park trail named in memory of him.
The fair officially begins on June 9 at 10 pm at Terrazas del Puerto Deportivo with the crowning of the Reinas, Rey, Damas, and Miss Simpatía, followed by Pichu’s pregón (opening speech) and a spectacular musical, aerial, and aquatic fireworks display at Playa del Faro. The Feria de Día, centred in the old town, features daily performances from 4.30pm to 9.30pm at Parque de la Represa, exhibiting local dance academies like Mi Lema Melania Leiva and Cristina Ropero.
Feria de Noche, the fairground in Arroyo Segundo, is open daily from 7pm until 3am. It offers rides, concerts and casetas, which include food and music.
Key events include a June 10 parade of military and police at Plaza de la Iglesia and the ceremonial placement of the Pendón at the Town Hall at noon, accompanied by the Municipal Band. June 11, the Día Grande, features a civic-religious procession, a mass at Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, and a procession honouring San Bernabé. Caseta Mi Hogar is a place where seniors can enjoy daily activities, such as Sevillanas or pasodoble.
To ensure inclusivity, June 10 is the Día del Niño with discounted ride prices, and June 11 and 12 are “no noise” days from 7pm to 9pm for those with sound sensitivities or those who just need a little peace and quiet. Over 500 security officers, including police, firemen, and civil protection will be on hand to ensure the safety of all fairground visitors. The free nightly bus routes A and B, which connect the north and south of Marbella to fairgrounds, will be operated by over 500 security personnel.
Marbella’s San Bernabé Fair, rooted in the 1485 Reconquest, celebrates folklore, flamenco, and community spirit, making it a highlight of the Costa del Sol’s summer calendar.
