Alicante’s late October weather will be unpredicted with a mini-heatwave and tropical nights. A yellow wind warning has been issued for gusts exceedingly strong.
Storm Benjamin has caused gusts up to 80 kilometers per hour.
The warning will be issued at 8am along the north coast, and at noon for areas inland.
The alert will remain active until 6pm, with a 40% to 70% probability that strong winds will occur.
Aemet recommends ‘extreme caution’ in exposed areas- especially on roads and when doing any outdoor activities.
Temperatures in many parts of the province, especially the southern Vega Baja area, could reach 33C on Thursday.
The weekend will see temperatures drop to 28C-29C with overnight minimums between 20C-18C.
Alicante Province has already broken a record for tropical night so far this year. 2025 is 105 nights up from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Aemet believes that the total will increase due to the new tropical night which is expected to occur between Wednesday and this Thursday.
The previous record of 97 tropical nights in 2023 was surpassed this year.
The minimum temperature for a tropical night is 20C. It can be elevated to torrid by not going below 25C. This was the case during the very hot and long summer of 2025.
