Have you ever noticed something?
You wake up… and already feel a bit behind.
You grab your phone. Check messages. You may want to skip breakfast or rush through it. You’re already thinking about the next day before it has really begun.
Your energy levels drop by the afternoon. Your energy is low in the afternoon. You may try to push through with an extra coffee, but you never feel stable.
And in the evening, when you finally have time to relax, your body is tired… but your mind is still on.
So you scroll. Watch something. Stay up later than planned.
And the next day… it starts all over again.
How many people are living today?
The day no longer has a rhythm.
This is where the problems begin.
As I began to observe life in the Mediterranean I noticed a difference. The food and the weather were not the only differences.
The way people moved through their day.
The mornings do not start off with stress. Mornings start slowly. A coffee outside. Short walk Fresh, light air. The body does not wake up all at once.
During the day people move more, but not in an forced manner. Walking, being outdoors, and small activities that are fun keep the energy flowing.
The part that many people miss.
The pause.
Not doing anything but slowing down. Stepping back for a few moments. Let your body rest before you continue the day.
In the evenings, everything becomes softer.
Meals are shared. Conversations are slow. It is not necessary to rush through a conversation.
Here’s where it all changes.
When you create a rhythm in your day, your energy level will become steady.
Your mind will become calmer.
You stop feeling that your body is always catching you up.
Mediterranean lifestyle is not about doing more.
You need to do things at the right moment and give each part of your day its own place.
The good news is…
You don’t need to live here at first.
Don’t pick up your phone the next morning. Step outside. Bring some light. You can move a bit.
Even if the walk is only a few minutes, you should take a proper break.
Slow down in the evening. Take your time to eat. Talk. Attendance is required.
Simple changes.
They solve the most pressing problem that people face today.
Life without rhythm is a life that lacks rhythm.
Mediterranean tip for the Week

You can get help if you want it
You’re not the only one who feels like this.
