Whisky Piskys brings Celtic sounds to Fuengirola’s bullring for free

It’s time to dance in Fuengirola. The Whisky Piskys will perform at the newly renovated Plaza de Toros on Saturday, 15th August. The trio will perform in the former bullring at 9pm. Entry is free.

The Whisky Piskys consist of three members of the Stolen Gnomes, an international Celtic Fusion band: Seita Mick and Damian. They combine vocals with flute, accordion, whistle, harmonica, saxophone, bodhran, mandolin, guitars, banjo, and bass.

Their music combines Celtic and Irish influences with soul, blues, popular music and other musical styles to create a dynamic sound.

International band with impressive music history

The Stolen Gnomes formed in 2010, and are located near Malaga. The international six-piece band has performed at concerts, festivals, and other events in Europe over the years. The band has shared bills with well known names such as Fairport Convention Steeleye Span, and Finbar Furey in the past. They have performed with Nathan Carter as well as backing two Irish dancers principals from Lord of the Dance.

A lively evening is guaranteed when The Whisky Piskys play their music in one of Fuengirola’s well-known landmarks.

The Plaza de Toros was built in 1962 and has been reborn as a place for concerts, cultural activities, and other entertainment.

You can still catch The Stolen Gnomes

Anyone who enjoyed Saturday’s performance will be able to catch The Stolen Gnomes again in a six-piece format at Noche de Folk (Night of Folk) in La Cala de Mijas a few days after.

The concert will take place at 10pm on Wednesday August 19th, in the Plaza del Torreon. It is free.

The Mijas Ayuntamiento-sponsored event will also feature Irish Treble, a Celtic music and traditional dance band from Madrid.
