Tesla has begun a new phase of its drive for advanced driver assist technology in Europe, by launching demonstrations in public. Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system Spain. Trials began on 26 January, and interested participants can book rides in Tesla stores in 6 cities. This allows them to experience the software first-hand in real traffic conditions.
These trials are a major step forward for Tesla and other self-drive car manufacturers on a market that has been cautious in its regulatory approach, compared to China or the United States. What is involved in the demonstrations
Participants join Tesla employees will accompany passengers in vehicles with Full Self-Driving, who are accompanied by Tesla staff to provide explanations. They’ll also be on hand in case anything goes wrong. The sessions demonstrate the system’s capability to handle everyday scenarios such as urban streets, roundabouts and crossroads. They also show how it can change lanes, enter motorways, and park automatically.
Tesla states that this technology is currently dependent on active driver oversight at all times. The driver must remain legally responsible and be prepared to act. It is not fully automated driving, but rather an advanced assistive tool.

Five major Spanish cities are currently experiencing demonstrations.

- Malaga: The national rollout is part of this project.
Tesla will be able to adapt to Spanish road conditions by using the urban centres selected for testing. They range from busy historic districts to modern thoroughfares.
