Three Italian mafia members known as Ndrangueta, a gang of Italian mafias, have been arrested on Ibiza.
They were detained last Friday in a joint operation between the Policia Nacional and Italy’s Carabinieri which was described as ‘high risk’.
A police statement stated that the men “were very dangerous and had a high likelihood of resisting arrest”.

The trio was charged with drug dealing and belonging to an illegal organization.
The National Court placed the men in custody. They were the key figures within the Ndrangueta.
In Ibiza, and Barcelona, two house searches have been conducted.
Officers seized €35,000 in cash and high-value jewellery including two watches- one of them valued at €120,000.
False identity documents, drugs, cell phones and other relevant documents were also removed.
The arrests were carried out on the basis European Arrest Warrants issued to Italian authorities.
Since last year, the Policia Nacional is monitoring the presence in Spain of Ndrangueta Gang members.
The Ndrangheta, which has been in existence for over 150-years, is considered one of the world’s most dangerous and powerful criminal organisations.
