Watch the frightening moment when a bull attacked people during Easter celebrations in Spain.

A woman has been seriously injured and at least two others hurt after the 570kg bull, called ‘Vaporoso’, broke through safety barriers during the Toros del Aleluya celebration in Arcos de la Frontera, Cadiz province, on Saturday.

Online footage shows chaos as people are knocked down and screamed out when the bull breaks through the barrier and enters the spectator area.

She has now recovered after undergoing surgery in the hospital.

The crowd smashed two more people, causing minor fractures.

Several children, and even some elderly people, were also behind the fences when the incident happened.

Miguel Rodriguez was the mayor of the village and he insisted that the fencing had already been thoroughly examined.

He said that “it’s not common for this to occur, but boards can break in any arena or unexpected events can happen.”

After the incident, the Town Hall reinforced fencing with additional chain and anchors in order to prevent future accidents during the ongoing festivities.

The mayor pointed out that despite the seriousness of the incident, there was ‘no major tragedy’ to regret.
