The Policia Nacional arrested a gang based in COSTA del Sol with British, Irish and Spanish members who exported marijuana hidden inside animal feed pallets.
Since 2019, the crew may have smuggled as much as three tons of pot into Ireland.
The Policia Nacional conducted 12 raids simultaneously, resulting in the arrest of 13 people.

The number of different nationalities in the force is not known.
In Malaga and Madrid, 10 searches plus 1 each were carried out.
In addition to the UK National Crime Agency, Ireland’s Garda siochana cooperated with the investigation that led to an arrest in County Louth.
The Policia Nacional seized marijuana, various items, real estate and financial assets with a total value of over €2 million.
The haul included 11 high-end cars and six luxury watches worth over €200,000 plus a semi-automatic pistol and three blank-calibre pistols.


In January, authorities began investigating a group who used international freight companies for the shipment of pallets of animal food with marijuana buds hidden in them to Ireland.
The authorities said that marijuana was being shipped monthly. Several shipments have been intercepted in Spain and Ireland, with approximately 300 kilograms of the drug being seized.
