Watch: Panic on Flight from Spain as Passenger tries to Open Emergency Door – CSN

A passenger opened the emergency exit on a flight to South America from Spain.

Footage shared by X shows cabin staff wrestling with a male passenger as he attempts to repeatedly open the door.

The incident happened during a flight on March 1, operated by Plus Ultra Areas Lineas, from Madrid to Caracas (Venezuela).

The company said in a statement that its crew acted quickly, adding that ‘at no time was the safety of the flight or those travelling on board compromised.’

The drama is said to have begun when the unruly passenger began bothering the person seated next to him, including ‘slapping him while they were trying to sleep’.

The cabin crew seperated the passengers and placed the aggressor at a place where they could monitor him.

He allegedly tried to open an emergency door a few moments later.

A passenger captured the dramatic moment when cabin crew dragged him away.

As they watched, other travellers covered their mouths with shock.

The man was restrained, and he was held in the rear of the aircraft until the plane landed at Caracas. Local police arrested him there.
