The Salon Varietes Theatre, Fuengirola, presents Waiting for Godot (by Samuel Beckett) on the Costa del Sol.

This English-language classic has been dubbed one of the greatest plays of the 20th century. The play was first staged in London in 2005, and it is just as relevant now. The story is about two friends, Estragon and Vladimir, who are waiting by a tree to see a man named Godot. They aren’t sure who he is, if he’ll show up, or even why they’re waiting – but they wait anyway.

The film is a funny, but sometimes sad, look at the way we deal with routine, uncertainty and hope. The characters are distracted by jokes, arguments and questions with no answers. The film has been described as absurd, poetic, and existential.

Five talented actors bring Beckett’s memorable characters to life in this new production. This is a play worth seeing, whether you have seen it before or for the first.

The evening performances will run from Wednesday April 30 to Sunday May 4.

Tickets on Sale Now at www.salonvarietestheatre.com. You can book at the box office of your local theatre or by calling 952 47 45 42.

This clever and moving evening of theatre is not to be missed in Fuengirola.
