Verdi’s opera Rigoletto at Teatro Ciudad de Marbella

The acclaimed Opera of Moldavia will perform Giuseppe Verdi’s timeless opera Rigoletto in three acts at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella on Saturday, 22 March.

This gripping story of passion, betrayal and revenge set in 16th century Mantua will begin at 8pm. Rigoletto tells the story of the court jester Rigoletto and his service to the libertine Duke of Mantua. Gilda is seduced by the Duke, who is a sheltered noblewoman. When the jester mocks her, a tragedy ensues. Gilda’s sacrifice and love collide with the father’s plot of revenge, culminating in an emotional finale. Verdi’s score, featuring the iconic ‘La donna è mobile,’ weaves melody and drama into an unforgettable night.

It is recommended that you book in advance, as this event is only for one night. There is a €10 discount for those under 30 years old, and those over 65.
