Ukrainian man arrested at Alicante, 43 years old, in connection with spying plot against drone manufacturer Germany

A UKRAINIAN spy who worked for Russia and conducted surveillance on a German drone manufacturer in Germany was arrested in the province of Alicante.

On February 17, Elda’s Policia Nacional executed the arrest.

In the German city Rheine on Monday, a Romanian national was arrested in a joint investigation by the North Rhine-Westphalia Police (NRW) and the Bavarian Regional Criminal Investigation Office.

The investigation included a search of both suspects’ homes.

The results of the search have not been made public.

According to the German Prosecutor’s Office the detainee at Elda, Sergei N (43 years old), carried out espionage in Germany for Russia.

It was his job to monitor someone who sent drones, components and other items to Ukraine.

He also recorded videos at the workplace of his target before moving to Spain.

After leaving the country, Alla S. (45), a Romanian woman arrested in Germany continued to carry out his mission.

The German authorities plan to send her to Spain.
