J D Wetherspoon UK Pub operator will open two new bars at Barcelona El Prat airport.
The company opened its first bar in Spain, at the Alicante-Elche Airport, in February.
It was Wetherspoon’s first venture outside of Britain.

The first of these two Barcelona pubs will open at Terminal 1 Terminal 1 in 2026, and the second Terminal 2 Terminal 2 in 2027.
Unnamed bars will cover a combined total area of over 5,700 sq ft, and can accommodate almost 600 people.
Ibersol Group is the largest franchisor of travel brands in Spanish-speaking countries.
Wetherspoon’s menu will feature many of the meals that are available in its UK pubs. These include breakfast dishes, pizzas, burgers, and local dishes. Real ales will also be included.
Sir Tim Martin, the founder and chairman of the company, stated: “We are thrilled to have secured two fabulous sites at Barcelona airport.”
The two new pubs at Barcelona’s airport are expected to be equally popular.
We plan to open pubs at airports and other locations overseas in the next few months.
Each bar will have a unique carpet design and be open from 5am until 11pm every day.
All food is served until one hour before the closing time.
