In Russia, equipment worth hundreds of thousands euros was found

A company in Alicante, San Vicente del Raspeig, acted as a shell to conceal the destination of the dual-use materials.

Specialists have removed electronic devices, documents and computer material from San Vicente and are analyzing it.

After investigations that began in early 2024, raids and arrests were made on 10 June.

The ruse was to circumvent established controls by shipping the merchandise through multiple European customs office, declaring an alleged third country as the bogus destination.

The material was then reexported back to Russia to bypass restrictions, and eventually ended up in a company sanctioned for its actions by international organizations.

Detainees falsified product labels and documentation to conceal the true nature of materials being sent to Russia.
