Two British tourists are on trial after allegedly raping an English woman in a hotel in Benidorm, Spain, back in November 2023.
The men have been in custody since their arrest 20 months ago despite being granted bail of €5,000 each.
They chose to go to jail because they could not afford to pay for their accommodation or other expenses and were forced to stay in Spain due to being deemed a flight danger.
