On Sunday evening, at around 7 pm, the killing took place near the intersection of Calle Pedro Lorca and Rambla de Juan Mateo Garcia in the old city area.

SHOOTING SCENE

The hit was alleged carried out by members of a rival gang, the ‘Caspers’, with both groups recently operating around Spain’s Mediterranean coast.

Kocer, 30 years old, was walking past a closed restaurant because it was a Sunday.

Based on casings discovered in the street, at least six bullets were fired by assailants dressed in sports clothing and wearing caps with their faces uncovered.

They fled down Calle Pedro Lorca and towards Plaza de Oriente. Then they got into a vehicle with French registration plates.

Following information provided by eyewitnesses the Torrevieja Policia Local followed the car.

The three men then got up and started walking before being arrested.

Paramedics spent over an hour trying to revive Cocer after he collapsed amid empty chairs and tables in a restaurant.

Guardia Civil has led the investigation, but no official information has been released.
