Inside Porsche’s incredible Toy Story 5 911 collection

Toy Story 5 911 Collection from Porsche

To celebrate Toy Story 5’s release, Porsche has revealed three custom 911s based on the franchises main characters: Buzz Lightyear Woody and Jessie. The iconic features of these characters have been reinterpreted – some subtly, others more blatantly.

Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program allows the team to create one-off models that are individually hand-finished. The result is a unique model that transforms the Pixar characters from road-going art into a work of art. This unique collaboration brings together storytelling and automotive design.

Buzz Lightyear’s GT3 RS steals all the attention

Buzz Lightyear 911 RS is the best-looking car in the collection. This model was created with the iconic white, purple, and green space rangers’ suit. The rear wing is designed to look like the pop-out wings of the toy.

The exterior features subtle references of Buzz’s mission in space, and the interior is adorned with custom-made details inspired by this character. The result is a bold design that feels unmistakably Porsche. It balances playful design with GT3 RS’s track-focused performance.

Woody and Jessie inspire interior design details

The interior has also been designed with the same level of detail. The Woody 2026 Carrera T exterior is a subdued shade of dark sea blue, but the interior features warm brown leather accents, cow prints, and subtle hints to the cowboys’ checked shirt.

Jessie’s personality is also reflected in a custom-made 911. Colourful design cues, carefully selected materials and her western-inspired attire have all been taken into consideration. Porsche designers did not create cartoon copies, but instead interpreted each character using colours, textures, and finishes that remained true to the premium aesthetic of the brand.

To further honor the characters, the floor mats on all three vehicles have the iconic catchphrases “To Infinity and Beyond”, and “Ride Like the Wind”.

Porsche 911s One-offs Sold for Charity

The cars were unveiled at the Toy Story 5 premiere held in Los Angeles, last month. The cars were more than just an advertisement stunt. They were part of a larger charitable initiative that supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the American Red Cross, as well as Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The three-car collection has since been sold for €2.6 million to an anonymous owner, with every penny from the sale benefiting the three US charities. Porsche has previously worked with Pixar on successful projects. This project is a continuation of that collaboration. It shows how custom-made automotive design can raise funds for charities while also celebrating one the most iconic animated franchises in cinema.
