The United Kingdom continues its dominance in the tourism boom.
In April 2025, Brits will make up 21.1% (or around 2 million) of all tourists visiting Spain.
This 8.4% growth compared with the same period last year cements Spain’s popularity in Britain.
Canary Islands (26.1%), Balearic Islands (15.6%), Andalucia (16.6%), and Valencia (16.4%) are the top destinations for UK tourists.

Germany was second with 1.4m visitors, representing 14.3% and an increase of 13.6% compared to April 20,24.
German tourists chose the Balearic Islands as their holiday destination by a wide margin. 36.7% selected this archipelago.
Spain was also popular among Italian tourists who accounted for 9.7% of the total in April, along with Dutch tourists who accounted for 5%.
Spain welcomed 9.7 millions tourists in April. This represents a 9.5% increase over the same period last year.
It is a trend that continues, as 30.8 million visitors visited the country in January-April, which is 7.4% higher than the same period in 2024.
Madrid and Catalunya were the most popular destinations in Spain for April holidays, with 58.2%.
The Balearics experienced the highest tourism growth during spring with a 12.3% rise compared to the year 2024.
