Torremolinos will welcome you this month with open arms to take part in one of their biggest celebrations. Feria de San Miguel will take place between September 20 and 26 2026. The celebration honours the town’s patron Saint with religious procession, live concerts, parades on horseback, and nights of dancing.

Pre-feria will warm up celebrations starting September 16

Torremolinos starts the party a full week early, starting on Wednesday, 16th September. Centro Cultural Pablo Ruiz Picasso is hosting several days to honor the memory of flamenco icon Rocio Jurado. This will build up towards a tribute event on Friday 18th. On Saturday, September 19, motor enthusiasts can take part in “Amigos de los Clasicos de Torremolinos”, an event that features classic vehicles. The gathering will start at 10:45am from Plaza Blas Infante and tour the city’s best locations, including the beachfront, before ending at the fairground. The same evening at 7.30pm there will be a street party with live pop-rock in the centre of town.

The feria opens with horses and carts

On Sunday, September 20, the festivities will begin with the romeria. This is a traditional horse-and cart procession that attracts large crowds to Los Pinares. The blessing of pilgrims and patron’s departure take place at 9am in the Ermita de San Miguel, followed by a sung Mass at 9.45am along Avenida los Manantiales. A procession with decorated carts and horses leaves at 10.30am. The route passes Plaza Costa del Sol as well as Avenida Joan Miro.

Five nights of concerts will light up the fairground

On Friday, September 25, the main celebrations will begin with an official speech. Flamenco singer Borja Cortes entertains the crowds prior to the switch-on of festive lights. Every evening you will betreated to big-name performances from 10.30pm, Falete takes the stage on Friday, Los Aslandticos play Saturday with support from Ochentados, Pepe y Vizio perform Sunday, and Monday brings a folk performance from Juan Navarro’s group with dancers Manuel Roldan and Lucía Barroso.

El Kanka is the headliner for Tuesday’s closing night, which begins at 8pm. This act has been dubbed as being the biggest of the week. The RECREO Festival, a free late-night event, will open at the bullring between midnight and 4:00am on Friday and Saturday. DJ sets are featured, as well as a performance by Jessy Ojeda.

Night owls are not the only ones who can be a night owl

Central Torremolinos is alive with live music and food throughout the day. Money Makers and Capitan Vinilo will perform on different days in the newly refurbished Plaza de la Nogalera. The children’s marquee hosts entertainment, workshops and theatre every night at 8:30pm. Senior citizens’ marquee welcomes older residents to dance and enjoy orchestra Metropolis, and traditional Spanish song singer Araceli Gonzalez.

Throughout the festival, fairground rides and other attractions will fill the main site of the fairground. This gives children and thrill-seekers a lot to do between concerts. Each evening, the organizers have created a more quiet, noise-free time for the kids’ attractions. They also set aside a special inclusive zone, with lighting and sound that is adapted to children with autism, in Plaza Andalucia.

The bullring will host a riding display and harness competition on Saturday, 26 September, starting at 12.30pm. Horse lovers are encouraged to attend. The Torremolinos Despega application allows flamenco fans to book a workshop on Sunday morning in Plaza Costa del Sol, where they can learn how to play the cajon – a wooden box that is the heart of the flamenco music. On Monday, September 28, a flower parade to San Miguel will depart Calle Madre del Buen Consejo, at 6pm, accompanied by traditional Andalusian music and dance. This will be followed by a bullring equestrian show at 7pm.

The celebrations are closed by the patron saint’s Day

The festival reaches its emotional peak on Tuesday, September 29th, the feast day of San Miguel Arcangel. A sung Mass at 9.30am takes place in Plaza San Miguel, followed by a procession that leaves at 10.45am. The patron is carried through the streets of Calle Santos Arcangeles, Avenida Joan Miro and back to the church. From 7pm onwards, the evening will be devoted to family entertainment. Children’s Day features discounted fairground tickets before El Kanka closes out ten days worth of celebrations.

The official website of Torremolinos’ town hall provides full details about the program, including locations and times for each event.
