The Speedways are currently on a tour in Spain and will be stopping at Louie Louie in Estepona on Saturday, 1 March.
The Speedways, hailing from London and Nottingham and preserving the essence of Power Pop with echoes The Jam and The Clash arrive in Estepona to party late into the night.
The Speedways, who are known for their sharp guitars and search for the perfect melody to match the mood of the moment, have the perfect sound.
Following their excellent 2023 album, ‘Just Another Regular Summer’, their next up is ‘Radio Sounds’, setting the bar even higher. Matt Julian from Godfathers and Adrian Alfonsoand Kris Hoodfrom the band bring a lot of energy, freshness and intensity.
Playing three-and-a-half-minute wonders, they should have been on the radio in the 70s and 80s as they give more than a hat-tip to innumerable artists from Johnathan Richman to The Undertones.
The Speedways perform Louie Louie at Estepona Harbour, Saturday March 1, 11pm, as part of their Spain Tour. Tickets are €18 + €1.80 booking fee.
