GUARDIA INVESTIGATES

A victim reported to Guardia Civil in December that an authorized account bearing her name appeared on one of the most popular social media platforms.

The video was made by AI and included images of schoolgirls who had all been altered.

The complainant stated that a second account had also been opened falsely in her name. This included more AI-altered materials plus a website where there were charges made for accessing the content.

Officers interviewed the 15 girls who had joined in the complaint, and quickly determined that the offender was a fellow classmate.

The Guardia obtained data from social media platforms about the users and the people who opened the fake accounts.

Valencia Juvenile Court has begun an investigation into the 17-yearold boy.
