OLIVE Press Editor Jon Clarke filed a must watch dispatch from the stunning City of Ronda. The weather forecast has finally begun to show a more sunny outlook.
Jon shares some good news with the beautiful Puente Nuevo in the background. After weeks of storms, sun, clear skies, and warmer temperatures have finally returned.
In some parts of southern Spain, the mercury is expected to reach a maximum of 25C.
The news will be a relief to expats across the Iberian peninsular after Spain endured its wettest January in a quarter of a century – and second gloomiest on record.
Some areas of Andalucia – such as Grazalema in Cadiz – have recorded unprecedented levels of rainfall equivalent to the amount some cities receive every year.

For the first time ever, Montejaque Dam overflowed its dam on Friday.
Authorities were worried about the situation. Three villages and hundreds residents had to be evacuated because they feared the dam might give way, releasing a torrential flow of floodwater in the Guadiaro valley.
The release that took place earlier in the week was well-controlled.
Reservoirs in some countries have benefited from the wet start of the year.
Andalucia has seen its reservoirs reach an average of 77% of their total capacity. This has helped to calm fears of drought.
This number is even greater in some provinces such as Cadiz, where the water reserves are over 93 percent full.
