The 32-year-old Steven Gray has been identified as the Briton who was shot and killed in an ambush on the Costa del Sol, according to local media. Liverpool Echo.
Gray was killed on Easter Monday evening in what witnesses described as a ‘gun fight’ in the popular British holiday resort of Calahonda, between Marbella and Fuengirola.
Around 8.15pm, the fatal accident occurred on Calle Don Jose de Orbaneja. This is close to the well known Club de Sol Tennis Club and the nearby Finca Naundrup Holiday Resort.
Gray’s killers approached Gray after he left a football game at the Finca Naundrup Complex.

The locals reported to police that they heard eight to ten shots fired during the conflict.
According to a source, Gray was able to return one shot at his attackers after the deadly exchange.
Spanish police immediately sealed off the area in the aftermath of the shooting.
Near the crime scene, a Seat Cupra with foreign plates was found on fire. The police found two pistols in the burnt-out car, which they believe were the weapons used to commit the crime. They launched a manhunt and are now searching for the two hooded murderers.

Pedro Fernández, the government delegate in Andalucia, confirmed that officers examined CCTV footage from surrounding cameras.
Sources claim that the shooting could be related to the murder of two Scottish gangsters on May 31, in Fuengirola.
