The Modgic is back – Magic Mod set to return

Magic Mod, rock ‘n’ roll’s favourite comic, returns to the Costa del Sol with another round madcap magic from Malaga up to Mijas.

Ben Taylor (aka the Magic Mod) was unable to hold back his excitement after a successful tour in 2024. He boarded a flight from London to Malaga, carrying a suitcase of tricks.

EWN: You’ve had an incredible year playing massive venues, such as the Belfast Limehouse & the Glasgow Barrowlands. You’ve played small, intimate shows. How does your intimate small-scale gig translate onto the large stage?

Magic Mod: ‘Big camera, bigger props. There are no two shows alike, just as there are no two audiences. I chuck in different stuff. The show will vary depending on the evening.‘

During his audience-participating shows, sometimes he recognises familiar faces in the crowd and interacts with them… or just plain picks on them…. All in good fun. Sometimes, it’s an entirely different group with a different interaction and a different set. 

Magic Mod ‘Magic is a form of art, but I don’t consider it serious. I don’t fit into any categories.’ Magic Mod makes you laugh out loud with its cheeky jokes.

The Magic Mod tour in Spain begins on Wednesday, April 19. Minnellis Benalmadena opens on Friday, 21 April; Jollyjacks on Sunday, 22 April. Tickets are on sale at the venues.
