The best tapas in Torremolinos revealed – Winners of Torremolinos Tapas Route


Costa del Sol tapas just got tastier, and more competitive. The 16th Tapas Route Torremolinos winners were officially celebrated at a lively award ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 13 in the Town Hall’s Reception Room, where the most delicious bites of 2025 were revealed and honored.

Between 14 and 23, November, 33 local restaurants took part in the event, which encouraged thousands of residents to step up their game with their innovative culinary offers. The Mayor Margarita del Cid announced the winners in front of a large crowd and awarded plaques and certificates to the winning establishments.

Here are some of the highlights on this year’s route.

The winners of the category “Favourite Tapas”

Voted by the public, who tried the tapas specialty and voted.

The top spot was taken by A Jierro Their irresistible mini-empanada beef burger, topped with alioli, miso and a zesty lime-wasabi kick, was a hit. The combination of comforting classics and bold Asian flavours won the hearts of many.

The most creative tapas award winners

This category was dominated by creativity. Three establishments tied each other for first place.

Twister – A stunning bed of caramelised piquillo peppers with cheese, topped with prawns, parsley, and fish roe

La Bodega – A delicious choco (cuttlefish) buñuelo

Luna Egipcia – A flavourful malanga fritada

Torremolinos is pushing the limits of traditional tapas with these inventive creations.

Taberna Biznaguera Casa Pepa Second place for the runner-up, El Rincón de Nacho Third place on the podium.

The Best Service Winners

Great food deserves great service, and L’Clave de Sol impressed both customers and judges the most with their signature ‘L’Clave’ tapa, earning them the top prize in this category. Luna Egipcia was second, followed closely by Isabella Sweet and More.

The excitement continued after the presentations with a raffle for participants who had completed their tapasporte. These generous gifts were donated by participating restaurants.
