The Casa de Las Tejerinas in Estepona is hosting an exhibition by contemporary UK artist Gigi López until March 12.
The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Friday, 9am-8pm. On Saturdays the hours are the same with a short break between 2pm-4pm. The exhibition is made up of 23 images, painted in acrylic on canvas.
Gigi López (Angela López Sarney) was born in the UK. Her rich Spanish heritage is the source of her creative passion, which has led her to move in 2023 from London to Malaga to live and work. She has a keen sense of wit and a desire to make meaningful connections. Her extensive travels around the globe have inspired her. Her abstract paintings are visual journeys through magical worlds, created from her personal memories and explorations.

Gigi’s works range from surrealist masterpieces to social commentary, realism and other pieces that pay homage to the injustices and struggles faced by marginalised voices. She defends the need to constantly amplify stories like racial justice, gender equality, mental wellbeing, and more. Gigi offers an open invitation to immerse herself in a world view through her artistic lens. She applies acrylics and collage, mixed media, template, textures and photos, while also incorporating wax, templates, texture, and photographs.
Casa de Las Tejerinas is hosting the exhibition until 12 March. It’s free and open to all.
