CALLOSA SEGURA ARREST

In March of this year, when a woman’s car was stopped and she was assaulted, the Guardia Civil launched a joint search with the Policia Nacional to locate him.

The thief put his arm right through the window and punched her, grabbing a gold necklace that was hanging around her neck.

In the weeks that followed, there were five more reports of street robberies. All involved elderly women. Some needed hospitalization.

The victims’ descriptions of the attacker helped the investigators identify him.

Investigations revealed that the suspect went to Elche and sold the stolen jewellery in a pawnshop. His description was the same as the suspect.

The items were taken from the store, and the women confirmed that the items they claimed were theirs.

A judge in Orihuela sent the man to prison after he was arrested.
