Malaga is getting ready to host the first 80s & 90s music event to welcome summer. Tardeo Summer will be a massive music festival held in La Malagueta Bullring on Saturday, 14 June. Malaga-based acts will be the stars of this event.
SUR and Grupo Mundo have organised this event to help raise money for charity, to be divided between two organisations: the Bisturí Solidario foundation (headed up by surgeon César Ramírez) and Cudeca, the Benalmádena hospice foundation which supports cancer patients.
In just one day, five bands will perform at Tardeo. All of the bands participating in the event are from the province. Headlining will be: Alejados (a band based in Coín, in the Guadalhorce district); Los Electroduendes (from Axarquía); and Señor Mirinda (from the city itself). These groups are well-known to Costa del Sol residents and specialize in covers of 80s and 1990s music. They will create the perfect evening atmosphere.
This festival will also feature two English-speaking bands, 90 Roll and Money Makers. Both are well known in Malaga and on the Costa del Sol.
Tardeo Summer is aimed at all nationalities who live on the Costa or visit it, so 80s and 90s Britpop music will be a major highlight.
The festival is aimed at anyone who likes music from 20th century. DJ Tony Logan also plays sets between the bands.
The festival tickets are priced at 20 euros, plus 2.50 euros for handling. This includes admission to the event and a soft drink or beer. The festival begins at 4.30pm. It will continue until midnight.
Tickets are now available at surentradas.com and in El Corte Inglés, as well as on OferplanDiaroSUR is the online ticketing platform.
Enjoy a fun evening of entertainment as you welcome the summer. Prepare yourself to dance, sing, and party your way through the evening.
