Strike at Arboleas, CSN News

Phil Taylor has a great reputation in the local community of bowlers.

I met him at Bowlera, Arboleas‘ 12 lane bowling alley, where he had just finished a coaching session with a team from one of the leagues he runs. Phil first visited this region in the early 1980s, when he was completing his PhD. He has lived in this area for almost 20 years. His passion for bowling was ignited in 2012. Early on, it was clear that he had a natural ability for coaching.

Phil returned to England in 2021 to complete his training as a European Bowling Federation certified coach. Those wishing to learn the game or improve their skills may book one-to-one lessons for €13 per hour or join group sessions for up to four people at €15 each for two hours.

A call for new members of the league for 2025/26 will be made soon for those with a proven game.

It’s time to try a new sport

A total of 56 players are divided into four leagues. The leagues meet every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6pm and every Friday at noon. Players relax after each session with refreshments and a friendly chat to strengthen the community spirit.

From Tuesday to Sunday, 12 noon to Midnight, sessions are held in Arboleas at Poligono Industrial Los Llanos (Polezara 32), Bowlera (Cale Almazara 32), and Poligono Industrial Los Llanos (Calle Almazara 32).
