STORM JANA is still causing heavy rains and snow in many parts of Spain.
In Murcia, authorities are desperately searching for a man who was last seen ‘shouting for help’ in the Segura River on Saturday.
Aemet, the state weather agency in Andalucia has issued several yellow warnings for heavy rainfall.
Included in the area are the majority of Sevilla Province, the entire Costa del Sol region, Ronda and the coasts Huelva and Cadiz.
The alerts remain in effect until 11:59pm tonight. Up to 40mm are expected to fall over the next 12 hours.
A yellow alert is issued for heavy snowfall in the Alpujarras, and Sierra Nevada. Up to 5cm could fall in 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the A-397 road connecting Ronda with San Pedro de Alcantara (Marbella) remains closed off due to yesterday’s landslide (pictured above left) – and it could take nine months to clear and repair.
In Madrid, five roads were closed. Andalucia had four and Extremadura two.
The Zarzuela de Jadraque in Guadalajara has been shattered in half by a surge of river flow.
Many streams have overflown across Spain, including the Jarama and Guadarrama rivers in Madrid, plus the Llobregat, Congost, Besos and Ter rivers in Cataluña.
