Squatters establish marijuana farm on Costa Blanca with side-hustle robbing neighbors

Three squatters have set up a marijuana plantation at a Denia Finca, and used illegal electricity to power equipment.

Police caught the crooks after a neighbour reported an armed robbery in his house.

The officers suspected that the squatters in the area could be their suspects, and began a discreet surveillance.

The police confirmed that at least one of the suspects was behind the robbery, and they raided the squat.

Three suspects have been arrested. A fourth is still on the loose.

Stolen items from the complainant’s home were found in addition to other ‘suspicious’ items that were acquired through robberies.

The discovery of a 318-plant marijuana farm was a big win for the Policia Nacional.

The meter was bypassed when lights and heating units are connected to an electric supply.

The three were charged with drug trafficking as well as robbery and forceful extortion.

They have not revealed their nationalities or bail status. Investigations are still ongoing to see if the men committed any other crimes.
