It’s a beautiful time of year. Mother Nature is finally shedding her winter coat and things are starting to liven up again.
It is the time for renewal and reconnection and Age Concern Marbella – San Pedro are looking forward to welcoming an ever-growing number of our older expat neighbours to their 5 fabulous coffee mornings.
Each one is run by a qualified volunteer ‘host’ who is there to help you and ensure that nobody ever feels left out. Coffee mornings can be a good way to meet new friends or catch up with those you already know. Age Concern has also a Community Centre located in San Pedro, where there are a variety of events and activities. Joining us is free. Volunteers also support two care homes by spending time with residents that are not likely to receive many visitors. However, this still leaves a gap which needs to be filled.
There are still some older neighbours that are not able to visit them. The organization is looking for volunteers to go to their homes and chat with them. Bringing some joy to someone else’s life can be one of the most rewarding things you can do.
If you have a little time to spare and would like to give something back, please talk to Age Concern Marbella – San Pedro. You can help our older neighbors by using the life skills that you have acquired. They would otherwise be left alone in a world of social isolation and loneliness.
Their goal is to ensure that nobody ever needs to feel alone and that everyone can live their best life – that’s why they are asking for your help. Please get in touch by calling us any weekday from 10 to 6pm on 689 355 198, or drop them a line to info@ageconcernmarbella.com and include your daytime number so they can reply promptly.
