The items that belonged to Enrique Abascal was a Mexican businessman staying in a luxurious suite at the Wellington Hotel.
Abascal and Marta Hermoso are seen in a CCTV image taken from the building.
Two men named Isaac Cortes, and Juan Ramon Jimenez are suspected of having removed the safe from his bedroom and taken it in a grey suitcase.
They even put a ‘Do not disturb’ sign on the door when they left.
A judge is investigating whether Hermoso provided them with vital information for the robbery while Abascal was away.
The footage from the hotel’s security cameras showed Daniel Iniesta doing reconnaissance.
The vast majority of his arrests were for robberies.
Iniesta’s excuse for being at the hotel was that he had an ‘appointment’ with a prostitute and inquiries confirmed that he had booked a room.
Marta Hermoso denied any involvement in the robbery, but admitted that she spent 10 seconds in the room of the businessman the day before on September 28, the heist.
She claimed that she had not seen him the day of his break-in, and provided her WhatsApp messages from and to Abascal.
Abascal has stated that Hermoso was briefly present at the meeting.
She has also given a list containing the names of hairdressers and restaurants where she was at on September 28.
Hermoso’s online presence was eliminated after her arrest when she deleted her social media accounts.
The judge will hear from all those accused of involvement in the robbery on May 21.
