MADRID, Valencia, and Zaragoza were the most ‘in demand’ municipalities in Spain for buying and selling properties during the second quarter of 2025.

Madrid (2) has again been crowned the leader of the league, ahead of Valencia (2) Zaragoza (3).
Torrent in Valencian Region came fourth. Santa Cruz de Tenerife was fifth, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria sixth, and Barcelona seventh.
Sevilla in eight, Gijon(9) and A Coruña(10) rounded off the top ten positions.
Santander (12), Vitoria (14) Valladolid (15), and Palma (17) are also included in the ranking.
Almeria, Tarragona, Oviedo and Bilbao are the remaining capitals in order of ascendance to 30th position.
The top 30 places on the list are occupied by 18 provincial capitals.
Many municipalities in Barcelona province feature including Santa Coloma de Gramenet (11), Hospitalet de Llobregat (13), Badalona (16), Cornella (18), Sant Cugat del Valles (20) and Vilanova i la Geltru (29).
San Bartolome de Tirajana, on Gran Canaria, is the Canary Islands’ town that completes the top 30, followed by Dos Hermanas (23), a town in Sevilla.
There are 38 capitals in total. This includes Malaga (33) and Murcia (41) as well as Lleida (42), Castellon de La Plana (47), and many more.
