Spain probes X Meta TikTok AI Child Abuse Images

SPAIN has launched a probe to investigate AI-generated images that depict child abuse on social networks, as the crackdown against tech platforms intensifies.

Sanchez’s measures included age verification across all platforms, and a greater accountability of tech executives.

The PM said that he also wanted Spain’s court to consider algorithm manipulation and spreading illegal material on social networks as criminal offences.

The move drew criticism from tech billionaire Elon Musk, who blasted Spain’s leader as a ‘tyrant’, a ‘traitor of the people of Spain,’ and a ‘fascist.’

Sanchez hit back, saying Spain would not be ‘cowed by tech-oligarchs of the algorithm.’

Last Tuesday, French authorities carried out a search. XMusk was called to testify in an investigation of algorithm manipulation, possible foreign interference and Musk’s Paris office as part of the investigation.
