A BRITISH ex-pat in Benidorm has dispelled the notion that Spain will always be a cheap place for people to live.
He moved to the coastal city in search of sun and a cheaper cost of living.
On a recent visit to Marbella @harrytokky revealed that his followers on TikTok Spain isn’t quite as cheap as people think.
He said, “In just a few days, I spent more than I would have in a month in Benidorm.”

“How insane, living here the prices of a meal are ridiculous.”
He had travelled to Puerto Banús, one of Costa del Sol’s most expensive places to live, and spent almost €150 when dining out at a Chinese restaurant.
“Don’t worry, it is brilliant. However, for the exact same amount of money, I can eat at three different Chinese restaurants in Benidorm.”
You’re not getting the best deal. Other places are cheaper. Does it really worth it? It’s worth it, but very expensive.
The streets of Puerto Banús are lined with branded stores like Gucci, Rolex and Louis Vuitton. Luxury yachts and catamarans are docked nearby. One night’s accommodation in the port town will cost you a minimum of €100 and to rent a room in a shared house will cost you a minimum €800 each month.
