Spain can expect a 'colder, wetter and longer May' than the average

Spain is likely to experience a “colder, wetter and longer” May than average

The weather in Spain in spring will be “colder and wetter” than expected with temperatures falling in May.

Rain and showers will be widespread in the first week of May.

The lowest chance of rain is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, while showers are predicted for the entire peninsula and the Balearic Islands by Thursday.

The temperatures will be lower than average in Spain as well, with highs in Malaga of 24 degrees, Barcelona at 21 and Madrid at 20.

The following week is expected to continue with cooler temperatures and more rain, except for northern Spain.

There is no rain forecast for May 19-25 but the Spanish weather agency AEMET predicts that cold weather will continue.
