Guardia Civil officers did not believe the stories, but they arrested the son on Monday after two and a half years of waiting for the results of over 100 DNA and fingerprint tests.
Torrevieja’s court placed the son in custody, while the second defendant was released on bail but his passport was taken away.

Both Rita and her son fell down the stairs during the fight. They both suffered head injuries, but the one Rita received proved fatal.
