On Saturday, 10th January, the nightlife in Fuengirola will be the most vibrant, with the local heroes Skafeinados playing a set of infectious ska and reggae music that will reverberate along the coast.
The six-piece band will perform their high-energy blend of British 2 Tone Ska, Reggae and Rocksteady Classics at 10pm in the small venue. Skafeinados’ versions of classic anthems like The Specials, Madness Bad Manners UB40 and The Beat are hard to resist.
Skafeinados, a group of international DJs known for their dance music and “Mentally Ska” party atmosphere have long been a mainstay on the Costa del Sol, packing clubs with a multi-national following.
According to band member José Huelga, the group originated a long time ago with an English singer who assembled the band, selected the repertoire, and shaped its focus on classic British 2 Tone acts together with Jamaican influences and mod-era tracks.
Love for ska and Two Tone
The remaining members of the band, who were mainly local musicians with a love for reggae and Jamaican music decided to continue the show in the same style and setlist. Skafeinados built a strong presence in the nightlife scene of Fuengirola, Mijas and other nearby towns.
Skafeinados return is expected to be the most important event along the coast this week. This concert promises non-stop entertainment in one of Fuengirola’s most picturesque locations.
