Shock retrial for freed Madeleine McCann suspect expected after German judge is slammed for her ‘shambolic’ ruling

Shock retrial for freed Madeleine McCann suspect expected after German judge is slammed for her ‘shambolic’ ruling

The German Court of Appeal has received a DAMNING 44 page ruling on the handling of a case against Christian Brueckner, alleged suspect in the Madeleine McCann murder.

The report written by the lead prosecutor at the Bundesgerichtshof (BGH) ‘completely picks apart’ the not-guilty ruling of the German paedophile and rapist.

A panel of judges from the BGH appel court in Karlsruhe, will now decide if they want to order a trial or make a judgment based on evidence submitted in an eight-month span in 2024.

During a trial in Braunschweig, Brueckner (49), was found not guilty on five counts of rape or child abuse.

The extraordinary decision by Judge Engemann immediately freed the prime suspect of the case of the missing British toddler Madeleine McCann.

The BGH federal prosecutor who was in charge of exploring whether the trial was handled correctly, believes the acquittal must be ‘immediately quashed’.

This comes after he carefully reviewed a large, 680 page appeal filed by Hans Christian Wolters on October 20, 2024.

A second trial may take place in a different court, most likely one in Leipzig.

Braunshweiger Zeitung, a German newspaper, reported this morning that Prosecutor’s Office is now demanding a new trial.

Brueckner, a Kiel resident who was homeless until last month, has been given a council apartment.

Throughout the eight-month long trial, Judge Engemann and the Public Prosecutor’s Office clashed repeatedly on legal issues.

Engemann’s doubts regarding the credibility of some key witnesses were raised.

Hazel Behan from Ireland, who she believes was Brueckner, was raped in the Algarve by an unknown attacker late at night.

The Attorney General has reviewed the Federal Court of Justice Report and believes that the appeal is credible. It should be taken seriously.

According to the Braunschweig paper, the VI. The case will be taken over by the Senate of the Federal Court of Justice at Leipzig.

This development came just days after Madeleine McCann was named in court documents that were released as part the latest Epstein File disclosures.

A protected witness stated in the documents that they saw a woman who looked similar to Ghislaine walking with a girl they thought looked like Madeleine.

The claim has not been verified in any way.

The documents also mention that the FBI was interested in Epstein’s travels abroad, possibly in relation to Madeleine McCann.

Officials have stated that there is no evidence to suggest that Maxwell or Epstein were involved in the disappearance of Madeleine.
