A forest and hiking trail in Cantabria will take your breath away.
Here, you will find 800 trees which are over 40 meters tall and have a greater than two metre diameter.
The trees are giant Sequoias which were planted in the 1940s during Franco’s dictatorship to encourage reforestation.

The bark of these trees can be as thick as 30 centimetres, which protects them from forest fires.
Some specimens live for up to 2000 Years.
