The aquarium fulfilled a childhood dream of one of its employees to mark the anniversary. Carlos Colombo is also turning 30 in 2025. The aquarium fulfilled his childhood dream by allowing him the opportunity to dive with sharks. Colombo has been a marine enthusiast for his entire life. He first visited the Aquarium as a kid with his parents. He joined Sea Life’s team 18 months back and recently, under the guidance of Conservation Director Michel Torres (who is also the director for the aquarium), swam in the sharks. Colombo stated that diving with sharks was a rare opportunity. “I feel extremely fortunate and grateful. “This unforgettable experience was the best gift that I could receive, and I have already had a shark’s jaw tattooed onto my arm as a reminder.”
Sea Life Benalmadena is successful because of a dynamic programme that’s designed for local and international tourists. The activities combine scientific education with entertainment and environmental awareness. The aquarium offers a variety of experiences to inspire and educate visitors. From playful otters and curious starfish to majestic sharks, and the beloved “Yellow Turtle”, the aquarium is a place to learn and explore the marine environment.
