Scrub-a-dog day at ACE – SHIN

ACE – SHIN, the dog and cat rescue charity based in Mijas and run by the phenomenally dedicated Fabienne Paques, held their first ‘Scrub a Dog Day’ on Saturday, May 24.

Volunteers from the surrounding area visited the shelter to take part in a fun activity, and to show their community spirit. The facility currently houses 700 dogs and cats that are rescued or found on the streets.

The shelter is able to wash over 500 dogs in a single day. Each animal is cleaned and cared for. As well as the 80 volunteers already helping out, ACE – SHIN invites the local community to come down and get soapy washing the dogs as an alternative fun activity for a weekend. They are happy, friendly and tails wagging as they feel on their own territory.
