The Casa de las Tejerinas in Estepona hosts a new exhibition of Scottish sculptor Toby Govan’s work, with collaboration from French artist Serge Bouvier who is presenting this work in Spain for the very first time.

The exhibition will be officially inaugurated at 8.30pm on Thursday 31 July and will include a performance by pianist Ángel Moya and local poet Lorena Jiménez.

Govan presents a collection of sculptures entitled The Millefeuille of Life.

Private collectors from the UK, France and Germany have purchased his work. Also, there are four pieces in Estepona. The elephant that weighs a tonne is one of the pieces.

Toby was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1967. His parents moved to Torremolinos in 1972. The family later moved to Estepona where Toby is currently based.

The artist is available every day (closed for Mondays) from 11pm until the end of the opening hours to allow the public to see the exhibition.

Bouvier’s oil and acrylic paintings on wood, paper and canvas will accompany his work.

French artist, François Lemoine, uses both figurative as well as abstract techniques. He says that his goal is to create a shared vision of interiors and exteriors through the use of light and contrast. He has been exhibiting his work for more than 30 year and has had numerous exhibitions in France.

You can view the exhibition for free from 9am to 11pm, until the 31st August.
