School of Rock Battle of the Bands


On Friday, July 26, starting at 6pm, the Boulevard Auditorium in San Pedro Alcántara will transform into Spain’s capital of school children’s rock’n’roll for the 11th year of the Battle of the Bands.

Rock Factory organizes the largest children’s rock festival in Spain. The event will showcase 46 bands, most of which are made up of children aged between 8 and 18 years old, along with some adult groups. All of the bands come from Costa del Sol. The young rockers’ musical and performance skills will improve. The Battle of the Bands, a festival for the whole family, is more than just a competition. Prizes include musical instruments, gifts and live raffles.

The festival is a free event that has rapidly become the benchmark for kid’s musical events in Spain. It features 46 bands competing, a jury of some of the most prominent names in Costa del Sol, and thousands in attendance.

Everyone who attends can enjoy a lively atmosphere with a variety of attractions, including a spectacular food stall by La Bocatería, an artistic creativity tent by Arte Sonsoles, a virtual reality zone by Área VR, a drinks bar, and bouncy castles for younger children.

The event will feature a stunning audiovisual and lighting presentation. The event will be hosted by Miguel Ángel González (Mimosín), with María Shislo joining as co-host, engaging the audience with backstage interviews, challenges, and live connections to capture the behind-the-scenes excitement.

The Battle of the Bands is a unique educational and exciting event, which combines the best of musical training, community and culture. It gives a stage to Europe’s next musical stars.
