San Pedro Alcantara celebrates its Semana Gran from October 14-20, a colourful festival honoring their patron saint.
La Caridad Fairground will be the focal point of the festival, welcoming all to a week of fun, tradition, music and culture.
The programme for this year has been tailored to include all families and children, with a variety of activities for kids, live music and religious events. Marbella’s mayor, Angeles Muñoz, highlighted the town hall’s efforts to create a programme “worthy of San Pedro”, with a special focus on families through workshops, entertainment, and the traditional Fiesta del Niño.
San Pedro fair Flamenco Star Grand Opening
Juanjo Alcantara (a San Pedro native and flamenco singer with an international career) will deliver a keynote speech to officially open the festival. The address will be given on Tuesday, 14th October, at Palenque Municipal after the lighting ceremony of the fairground.
San Pedro Fair offers music and entertainment
Juanlu Montoya will open the feria on Sunday, October 14. Los Rebeldes and Los Mojinos Escozíos perform on October 17. Melody, Spain’s Eurovision entry 2025, will close out the fair at the fairground auditorium on October 19.
San Pedro fair is inclusive
The town hall is putting accessibility on the forefront of its agenda. On October 16 and 18, from 7pm-9pm, it will host two Silent Feria sessions, designed for people with sensory or auditory impairments. A sign language translator will be on hand during the opening speech, as well as for the coronation. Parking will also be designated for those with limited mobility.
Patron Saint San Pedro de Alcantara’s day: October 19
Sunday, October 19 will be the day of the main religious events. A solemn Mass at the San Pedro Parish Church, followed by a procession led by a marching group, honoring the patron saint, will take place. There will also be equestrian events, a performance from the Solera de Jerez Flamenco School as well as a spectacular fireworks show.
San Pedro has many family attractions
The Dia del Niño on October 15 will offer discounted ride prices at €2.50 and €3.50, with regular prices ranging from €3.50 to €4.50 for the rest of the week.
San Pedro celebrations are closing.
The feria will conclude on October 20 with Tarde Joven at the Palenque Municipal, showcasing emerging artists like Hako, DashStar, Fer Martín, Klimax, and Hizoox, representing the Costa del Sol’s urban and pop music scene.
