Sabinillas gears up for Scooter Day in 2025: Mods & music roll this Saturday


Sabinillas prepares for Scooter Day in 2025. Mods, music and motors will be on display this Saturday.

Sabinillas is set to roar into action this Saturday, April 5, as the annual Sabinillas Scooter Day returns – bringing together vintage scooters, slick styles, and live ska and soul music for a full-throttle celebration by the sea.

This event is organised by the Sabinillas Scooter Crew and the Foreign Residents Department of Manilva Town Hall. It will feature a mix of retro wheels with rhythmic beats that will attract scooter and music lovers from the Costa del Sol.

Mods on the Move

The day kicks off at 10.30 AM at Plaza de los Maestros (right by the infant school), where around 100 scooterists are expected to gather, polishing chrome and striking classic poses before setting off on a scenic ride through the local area – weather permitting, of course. Vespas and Lambrettas will be on display as the two-wheeled event cruises through the town.

Sounds of ska, soul and jazz

The Neuras (Seville)

Bringing the raw edge of Spanish mod-rock to the coast, The Neuras feature Eduardo Galán Zabala (bass, backing vocals), José Luis García Pérez (guitar, vocals), and Ricardo Ramallo García (drums). Their 2023 Album Side ShowSabinillas will get to hear the live sound of recorded at Estudio 335, Seville.

Briatore (Marbella)

The Marbella group, formed in 2007, is known for its unique blend of garage rock, 2 Tone ska and soul. The group’s Standout Album 2014 Wake up! TT Syndicate (Portugal)

TT Syndicate is a Porto-based group that brings a powerful mix of Northern Soul, Rhythm and Blues, and 60s Beat. The seven-piece band was formed in 2012 and includes vocalist Pedro Serra along with drummer Nuno gomez and guitarist Nuno Riviera. Manuel Oliveira is the bassist, while Hugo Lopes and Joel Rocha are on the brass section. Their self-titled debut album (2017) won acclaim across Europe, and their high-energy shows – including a set at Eurosonic 2018 – have made them festival favourites.
