Rock’n’Roll red hot as the Fat Fajita prepares for Rockin’ Race Jamboree at Torremolinos

Torremolinos will heat up when The Fat Fajita, a Tex-Mex steakhouse and restaurant, emerges from winter hibernation in a spectacular way to kick off its 2026 season. The venue is timing its grand reopening to coincide with the 32nd Rockin’ Race Jamboree, the legendary rock ‘n’ roll and rockabilly festival that draws fans from across Europe and even as far as Japan.

Many eager fans are looking for ways to enjoy the rock’n roll atmosphere without purchasing tickets. The Fat Fajita offers the perfect solution. A special Rockin’ Menu with sizzling fajitas and juicy Argentinian Steaks, as well as classic Mexican dishes. Live music is also included for free.

Opening its doors to the public on February 2 at 6pm will build excitement for the festival. Live bands will be playing in the early evenings and afternoons from Thursday. This is perfect for people who are stepping out of their hotels, or just want to enjoy great music and food.

Go Mule will be performing at 5pm on February 5, 2019. They will be delivering high-energy Dorsey & Johnny-inspired tracks. Lojo and The Mojos are self-described rockabilly dealers who will be performing at 5pm on Friday, February 6. Then, on February 7 at 3.30pm, everyone’s favourite, Howlin’ Ramblers, deliver an astounding performance of wild blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Angela Hoodoo will round out the line-up on February 8 at 3:30pm, with some classic R’n’R, Americana and outlaw country.

Entry to these live sessions is free—all that’s required is to enjoy a meal from the scrumptious menu. It’s a must-visit during the festival madness because of its Tex-Mex food, generous portions and lively atmosphere. Staff promises a warm, lively atmosphere as tasty as the food.

If you are a rockabilly enthusiast looking for some extra entertainment, or just want to enjoy a delicious night out in the Costa del Sol’s cold winter sun, then The Fat Fajita is the perfect choice. It offers delicious food, a foot-stomping soundtrack, and legendary party energy.

The Fat Fajita restaurant is located at Calle Salvador Allende No. 58, Torremolinos.
