Frontline Cars presents the MGA Factory Edition, its lightest and refined restomod. It marks 70 years of MG’s aerodynamically most advanced model. The company said it stays true the spirit of original while delivering modern driving experience.nd Goodwood Members’ Meeting

Each MGA Factory Edition weighs just 815kg and is powered by one of two naturally aspirated Duratec engine options: either a 2.0-litre unit that produces 225 bhp, or a 2.5-litre option with 290 bhp. Each MGA Factory Edition has a five speed manual transmission.

The new Factory Edition chassis was developed in-house, extending its expertise and knowledge to the MGA. It has a limited-slip diff and the classic Fly-off handbrake is seamlessly integrated into modern braking technologies. A power steering system that can be adjusted electronically adds convenience without compromising on feel.

The MGA Factory Edition has a modern drivetrain, with engineering features at its core. Its appearance is also faithful, but it comes with subtle contemporary enhancements to distinguish it from the Fifties-era predecessor. Crystal-clear LEDs are one of the thoughtful exterior features. They replace traditional sidelights with a more modern, cleaner front fascia. Each lamp has a Frontline logo etched into it, which serves as a subtle signature of its handcrafted, bespoke origin. Frontline has also added a badge to the bonnet of the MGA, which is a first in the 30+ year history of the brand.

Available in both roadster and coupé form, every Frontline Cars MGA Factory Edition is built from a fully restored body, ensuring each car is finished to the highest standard. The customer configuration area, located at Frontline’s Abingdon headquarters (or remote meetings are possible), is where customers can customize every aspect of their MGA. There are endless possibilities for paint colors, finishes and interior materials. It’s like choosing a custom-made suit at Savile Row.

Frontline’s Oxfordshire HQ in the UK will begin full production of the MGA Factory Edition after its Goodwood Members’ Meeting launch. Optimised for the company’s growing international audience, particularly in the USA and Australia – two regions where the original MGA was most celebrated – both right- and left-hand drive builds are now available to order, with global customers invited to already start commissioning their bespoke examples. First customer deliveries should begin in summer 2026.

Frontline Cars, based in Oxfordshire, UK was founded in 1991 to improve the driving experience for classic MGs.
