Estepona’s Casa de Las Tejerinas is putting on an inspiring art exhibition, ‘El Hilo Rojo: Reflexiones al Femenino’ (The Red Thread: Reflections on the Feminine), by artist Carla Bressan until April 9, 2025.
Sala 1 in Plaza de las Flores opens its doors at 6pm on 27 March, and the show will feature 20 mixed-media works. Admission is free for everyone. Visits are available from 9am-8pm on Tuesday through Friday and 9am-2pm, 4pm-8pm on Saturday.
Bressan, born in Italy and raised in Venezuela, has lived in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, since 2016. Since childhood, she has transformed blank canvases into rich expressions in colour and form. Her work reflects her passions for the environment and women. ‘I’m inspired by the struggles of women forced to fit into societal moulds that don’t always value or empower them,’ she says.
Bressan, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Literature & Fine Arts and a Masters in Interdisciplinary Teaching from Cambridge College in the USA, has refined her skills through workshops in Italy & Mexico. Her works have been displayed in exhibitions held in Austria, Belgium Spain, USA and elsewhere.
This exhibition will inspire you to celebrate femininity and creative expression. Entrance is free.
